How to meet new people, i'm 22 years old!?

I just moved to a small town that doesn't have much to do outside of bars and church. My apt. doesn't allow pets or I'd be jumping at the chance to get a puppy and meet people at the park.





I've buddies with friends at work, but I want to establish some good friendships outside of work as well. I'm super shy and whenever I'm in a social setting meeting new people I never know what to say.


Any tips on how to meet some new people?


I'm not religious, so church groups are outta the question.


Also, I don't think there's any book clubs around or I'd be all over that!


Not a fan of the bar scene...

Try meeting people on My Space. It's the only place to make friends and not make yourself look like a fool. When you talk to that person online, tell him or her about yourself on your page. Pick people you have a lot in common with.
