Best way to meet people?

I work at a small office and my friends are often busy so I don't really get out much.. so what would be the best way to meet new people? I'm pretty much tired of the bar/club thing since all everyone ever does is try to get drunk, which is pretty boring.





So other than bars and clubs, where's a good place to meet people?

Sounds like my situation to a "T".





What are you interested in? I met new people through my church when we went on a river rafting trip together. I found I truly love rafting and made more new friends. I also enjoy museums and art galleries, jazz music and movies.





Find out what your hobbies are and then get involved in that. Take dance lessons, go to the library or hang out at the bookstore??? There are a lot of ways to meet people with same interests as you.
Reply:Have you thought about getting a part-time teaching job at the local university teaching computer programming? I am a part-time faculty at our community college. I teach beginning computer courses. The university is a wonderful place to meet people as well. Report It

Reply:as stupid and lame as it sounds...go online. it surprisingly works. a couple of my friends actually met people on aol chat or myspace. i even met some friends doing this too and we're all still really great friends. people will think it's lame or funny but it works. if u don't want to do that then go join something...make a new hobby...get creative...there's millions of ways.
