How to meet new people to date after 50?

My mom lost her husband 8 months ago. She is 56. She called me to find out how to meet single men to date. She says she doesn't want to pay for a date, meaning using a dating service of any kind. This whole thing left me scratching my head. I really don't have a clue. I suggested her church. Or the grocery store. What I had forgot was she lives in a high tourist area so most of the people she would run into is there on vacation. She is also a real estate agent. But all of the people she is showing houses to are married. She doesn't go to bars. I suggested to tell her friends she was open to meeting new people. Anyone got any other ideas?

She should attend lectures and classes that men go to: financial groups, investment groups, etc. Some churches have active single senior activities. She should investigate to see where they are. Also, she should tell her friends and associates she would like to meet someone. They may know a nice unattached man. And there are often ads in the paper but she should be cautious about that.
Reply:I liked the idea of getting involved with a political party, too. I hope she meets someone nice. Report It

Reply:At BINGO you just meet more old ladies - I know - I work BINGO.
