So I'm sixteen, about to be a senior in high school, and I'm sort of drifting away from my friends. I mean, we've never really connected. We're all going to be seniors in the fall --- were all taking different classes. The thing is, where can I meet people more like me outside of school? I mean, I love my friends to death, but we don't really connect. And I've joined clubs and stuff, trying to meet people in school, but it just doesn't work.
So, where is a good place to meet people OUTSIDE of school?

A good place to start to find people with similar interests would be to take an inventory of your own interests and pursue them in the appropriate venue. (Skating, Soccer, Volunteer work, Music: bands, etc.,) Other places to meet people who are just hanging out: coffee shops, book stores, church). If you are theatrical look into community theater, If you are interested in politics, join a political meetup.
