Places to meet people in Pittsburgh?

I just moved to Pittsburgh PA a couple of months ago. My fiance' and I are having the hardest time meeting people (that are at least semi-normal). It seems like there's places to go meet people if you're single, but for couples it's harder (there are alot of freaks out there). We just want nice normal people to have dinner with. Suggestions?

Reply:Just try strolling at the SouthSide Works!!, the Waterfront, or go to a Pirate game or a "STILLER" game! I promise...some of us Pittsburgher's are normal!! Also, try Station Square (I think of Friday's they have Street Jams...kind of like a block party). Best of luck!!
Reply:i lived there for a year while i was in school. theres quite a few places you can go to meet people. you could go for a picnic at point state park. they always have envents going on like concerts or the regata. also i use to work at heinz theatre. maybe see a musical or concert. then theres the strip. i know thats more like the club scene but one night maybe go for drinks. there are some upscale clubs down there. then you have station square. it has cool shops and eating places and also the incline you can ride up to mt. washington which has a beautiful view of the city. theres always people up there enjoying the view. also down by pnc park theres like a sidewalk that goes along the river, walk that and you'll find an interactive fountain. its got cement boxes you can sit on and you can get in the water. in the day time this place is packed,or try a romantic night out there if you want to be alone. then theres the andy warhol museum. there should be some nice people in there. also if you want to drive about 25 min theres kennywood amusment park. or go towards the mall area. theres tons of shops and restaurants and all that. pittsburgh does have a lot of weirdos but just go to the places where normal people are out at and you'll make friends. good luck!
