My husband and I are pretty new to the Littleton/Denver CO area and we desperately need to meet other people our age. We are a younger couple (mid twenties) with two beautiful children. We haven't found the time or apparently the right place to meet any other couples in our area. Any ideas?
Where do we meet people?
No people around work to hang out with? What about church?
Reply:My favourite suggestion is to volunteer for a cause that means something to you. There are alot of organizations that can host families who want to volunteer, so then you can meet other parents.
There is also something called Google Groups in which people set up meetings for people with similar interests. It's casual, the meetings are in public areas, and everyone there is generally interested in meeting new people.

Reply:what about your neighbors? that's always a good start to meet somebody, plus there are times when you're going to meet them sooner or later!

It's too bad that it is so difficult to meet and make new adult friends when you move to a new area (I went through it not that long ago).
