I meet people on yahoo, they say hi then ignore me?

When I meet people on yahoo I usually look out for like minded ones, but after they email me once saying 'hi' and 'nice to meet you' after that they completely ignore me. Does everyone do this? I respond to emails, sorry if this makes me a freak.

Reply:i think people get lazy..they're not trying to ignore you. but with a lot of emails, i would read them, put them away and forget to respond..not neessarily ignoring.
