Where to meet other people my age?

I'm fifteen.. and homeschooled.. The only kids around my area are from the highschool I left, and I left for a reason. I'm just wondering where I should meet people.. And don't say things like the mall, because I'm not going to just walk up to people -.-'

Where to meet other people my age?
i am also home schooled. im 17 (HI! :-) i had to move %26amp; leave all my friends behind last august 3000 miles from west to east coast. i also find it difficult to meet new friends. im a little shy i guess but not once you get to know me. since august i met 2 people here. im told if i want to meet more people i need to GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. find a boys and girls club or ymca and volunteer there i am told. AGE DOES NOT MATTER for the most part. you might get some baby sitting jobs from the parents who pick up their kids. i know because i did this on west coast. i just been lazy lately. so visit http://www.bgca.org/clubs/ enter your zip code and HAVE FUN :-)
Reply:i think you should take some classes you are interested in

like kick boxing, or painting classes for people in your age group

you could also volunteer somewhere that you think would be neat, and they will probably hook you up with some folks your age

i agree, if you just went to a mall and walked up to kids your age that might be odd

so hopefully these suggestions will help

good luck!
Reply:Coffee shops outside of the high school, in the morning, before school. Maybe someone will see you sitting alone and come over to hang out with you.

Ummm... conventions do you like anime? comics? or passionate about something? Chat rooms, facebook, myspace; sometimes there are local people that you can hang out with. Errr... other places. Get a job, I made a lot of friends with coworkers. I'm sure there are plenty of places :) hope your loneliness ends soon.
Reply:Try joining clubs or sports teams. Also, just be friendly in general, wherever you go! This doesn't mean you have to try and make friends with everyone that comes your way, but it opens up the possibility! Good luck!
Reply:Homeschooled huh? Maybe you can ask your parents for you to go to a sports or music class of your interest and that way you'll be able to meet new people! Good Luck!
Reply:Why not join a community club? Or a sports team? Then you're mixing with kids your age and you all have something in common :)
Reply:You just IM me, we can exchange our views, and can discuss about the mutual interested subjects.
Reply:What about taking up some lessons in something you enjoy... swimming, baseball/softball... Contact the homeschool association in your area and see when the next outing is... Good luck!
Reply:you could volunteer in your community, or get a job
Reply:Maby u should join a culb or start a sport!!! Hey i'm 15 too xD
