I am new to a town where I am doing an internship for a year. It's 6 months into it and I have yet to really make any friends. Most of the people I work with are married with children and way outta my age range.
So how does a 20 something meet new people and try to avoid the bar scene as much as possible.
I'm a former party girl who isn't down with keepin it real w/the drunks anymore.

check out meetups.com %26amp; see if there are any local groups that match your interests. some of the groups are cheesy (like chiuaua playgroups!?), but there are lots of good ones too.
