Where do you meet people?

I miss being in a committed relationship and would like to meet the right someone locally. I've looked on yahoo personals and have chatted with some people, but I don't think that's where my "Mr. Right" is. I do NOT want a friend with benefits, cyber-s*x, etc.





I'm a 40-ish woman. I don't drink much and don't smoke or do drugs at all. I don't care for bars (don't smoke/drink much) and I'm not really into the club scene. I do like to hike and be outdoors, but don't usually see single guys out hiking - they either have buddies or a partner.





Anybody know of good places to meet or free (or cheap) internet sites?

Sure, Church. Find a fellowship that has singles classes and activities. I know that our singles group at the christian fellowship that I attend has gone on a cruse. They also hangout together and go to restaurants together. At least you would meet some really good friends.
Reply:join a hiking club if there is one in yr area. go out a little more to widen yr circle of friends. this will be the best way to maybe find someone that will be of interest
Reply:Join the Sierra Club. Join groups in which you have an interest. Take a Computer programming class. They'll be a 3 to 1 men to women ratio. They'll all be geeks, but they will all be successful.

I would steer clear of the free or cheap dating sites for that reason. The percentage of deadbeats or players hit the roof.





Try volunteering at a local charity. Just a few tips. But I am single so I may not be the best source. Good luck!
