I meet a lot of new people at work, what are some tricks to help me remeber all their names.?

The people I meet, I do not see on a daily or even weekly basis. It may be a month or two before I see them again and I need remeber who they are.

I meet a lot of new people at work, what are some tricks to help me remeber all their names.?
Remembering people's names needs a slightly different approach from all the others explained so far in this section. The techniques used, though, are quite simple:

1. Face association

Examine a person's face discretely when you are introduced. Try to find an unusual feature, whether ears, hairline, forehead, eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, chin, complexion, etc.

Create an association between that characteristic, the face, and the name in your mind. The association may be to link the person with someone else you know with the same name. Alternatively it may be to associate a rhyme or image of the name with the person's face or defining feature.

2. Repetition

When you are introduced, ask for the person to repeat their name. Use the name yourself as often as possible (without overdoing it!). If it is unusual, ask how it is spelled or where it is comes from, and if appropriate, exchange cards. Keep in mind that the more often you hear and see the name, the more likely it is to sink in.

Also, after you have left that person's company, review the name in your mind several times. If you are particularly keen you might decide to write it down and make notes.
Reply:Use their characteristics, such as height, hair color, eyeglasses, voice and connect as much as you can to the name, at least, the first name. Repeat in your mind, ie.: Rita with red hair, writes the newspaper column. Do that at least three times for each person you meet at that gathering. Also, if you can, write the names down with a brief description or something you talked about. You will remember their names when you see them again.

C. :)!!
Reply:Another trick is that when you DO get a chance to associate a name with a face, such as when introduced, or even if you overhear the name in passing, is to repeat it out loud. Even doing it a couple of times to yourself.

Do it as often as the opportunity occurs. By the time you see the person, again, face to face, you should have less trouble recalling the name.
Reply:Think up a story involving their names, this is a reknown memory tactic employed throughout the world

good luck
Reply:Make a physical or personality association with their name - Betty - does she have anything u can anchor with the B - like a big behind or something silly like that. In your brain she becomes Betty Big Behind. Like a first and last name. lol Mentally repeat that "name" each time you see her - even if you don't interact with her. This is an old school teacher trick and it does work.
Reply:write down their initials in a small book, say the names to yourself a few times an you have then down to path quickly,
