I'm going to be moving to a new area in the near future and I don't really know anyone there. I'm with a partner so not interested in lonely hearts or anything, but I want to be able to meet new friends once I'm there.
Other than joining evening classes (which everyone always suggests and I will do that anyway) does anyone have any tips for meeting people in a new place? I'd prefer to be able to meet people around my own age (mid-twenties) and they don't tend to hang out at evening classes so much!
How to meet people in a new area?
Go to the local library they have a notice board for local events %26amp; clubs or ask the librarian whats happening locally.
Have a house warming party %26amp; invite the neighbours.
Ask the landlord/lady at the local pub.
