How can I meet new people?

I go to a small new catholic school, I am a sophomore and the highest grade level thus far. It makes it really hard to meet new people. I go to this club event every month or so, and i meet people there but its also small and it is rarely local. I go to the local mall/ movies, but usually everyone has their own little groups and people don't talk to other people there unless they already know them. I don't want to hook up with people online, I think that's pretty lame. The kind of people I want to meet are relatively smart, nice, fun people. Any ideas on how to meet new people?

How can I meet new people?
the library? um join a sport like a travel sport. join a club. do intraschool activities.

Reply:at school during class is a great way, joining clubs like you did was another.


just join in on conversations and group projects that will usually get you in a friend mode if you talk to them like friendly banter.
